Today is the start of the 2021 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale!

Every year I get so excited about this sale because it feels like the holidays have started in the middle of summer. If you’ve shopped the sale before, you’ll probably agree that Day 1 of the sale literally feels like Black Friday/Christmas morning. It’s exciting and stressful all at the same time, ha!

The #NSale is actually a pre-sale of Fall trends; letting you build your wardrobe at a discount for the next few weeks before the season starts. Which is amazing! Things sell out SUPER quickly so being able to preview the entire sale online makes the entire experience so much better! You can make your wishlist, plan, and budget accordingly!

Dates for the sale:

• July 12: “Icon” cardmembers can start shopping on July 12.
• July 14: Two days later, “Ambassador” cardmembers can start shopping the sale on July 14.
• July 16: Those who hold an “Influencer” status can shop the sale starting July 16.
• July 28: The sale officially opens to all shoppers!
• Aug. 8: Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale ends.

I’m so glad these joggers are back from last year! They areb porobably my most worn/favorite purchase from last year!!

BEAUTY

I love shopping for beauty and hair care products during this sale and the deals are SO good this year! I stock up on things I know I use all year round- like Olaplex!

ACCESSORIES

Last year I purchased my first pair of Gucci sunglassess and it was the highlight of the sale for me- lol! Honestly, I think the hats and belts this year look like the BEST they have ever been.

JEWELRY

If you’re starting your Christmas shopping early, Tory Burch + KS is having some incredible deals and they would make the best gifts!!

HOME

Yes, yes, yes! The answer is YES the barefoot dreams blanket is 100% worth it. I’m actually snuggling with one as I type this. It sits on my office chair and waits for me every morning! I’ll probably grab another this year because Ava always walks in my office and tries to take it- and I’m tired of sharing!

Update about my try-ons this year!
In past years I’ve shared this in a blog post with all the sizing info (see last years post here) but this year I will be posting all try-ons in live time through the LTK app! I will definitely still update the blog throughout the sale- but I’m posting to my Instagram stories and LTK (my LTK username is alexvstout is you want to follow along!) first because it is the only way to post and link things in live time (and everything sells out so quickly!)

Top 5 Tips to Successfully Shop:

1. Make a wishlist. If you are one of that add-everything-to-cart-without-thinking-person (same girl, same) you need to do this. This will save you from impulse purchases. Take advantage of the preview and make an online wishlist!! Take stock of your closet, browse the preview, and make a list of your favorite items from now! Here’s what on my list:

2. Invest in things that rarely go on sale. Piggybacking off the first tip. I personally wouldn’t waste too much time on the random t-shirt. Those small purchases add up and you’re way better off investing in a staple piece that will last you for years. Example: Two years ago I purchased a pair of Sam Edelman boots for around $150 (regularly $230) and these are still my favorite boots of all time!! I will definitely be wearing them again this year (but I can’t say the same thing for the hand full of t-shirts I purchased two years ago).

3. Shop early access if you can. Nordstrom has shared that there will not be a restock of the majority of the items that go on sale. So f you’re excited about the sale and don’t want to miss out on items due to things selling out, get the card and shop early!

4. Use your double points day. Do not forget to schedule a Double Points day during the day you are going to be doing the most shopping! You can click to do that online when you check out!

5. Sizing. I’m shopping the sale this week and sharing all the sizing and fit information, so you can confidently shop online!!
