Bring on the accessories and colorful prints, my friends! Anyone else love packing for a trip? I might actually love it more than the actual vacation. Ha, I think it’s the feeling of anticipation, but packing always gets me so excited, especially when we’re talking about a beach trip! Since we’re (finally) heading on our summer vacation this weekend, I wanted to share a few things I’m bringing with me!
1. Piña Colada sunscreen: Coola sunscreen is hands down my favorite SPF! It smells SO good you guys. The ingredients are clean, it’s never sticky, and it works so well (aka no sunburn). I’m bringing the full size with me, but they also have a travel size for $10! I’m also bringing their Organic BB+ Cream SPF 30 as a daytime “foundation” (I’m shade light/medium) for the pool!
2. Floppy hat: I always pack a few hats! Other than the obvious reason that it gives me some protection from the sun, I love that it hides my beach hair and helps me skip daily hair washing! This straw hat I’m wearing in the picture is perfect because of the wide brim and the quality is unbelievable (aka holds it shape) because it’s from Gigi Pip. The exact style is the “Capri medium” and comes in two colors!
3. Travel cases: Okay seriously how cute are these cosmetic cases?!
4. Coravana flip flops: I recently got these Crystal flip flops and I LOVE them. Here’s the deal with Coravana: They take the original and iconic Havaianas flip flops (my fave brand for like 10 years I’ve shared these before) and add SWAROVSKI crystals. Genius, right?? YA, I WISH I HAD THOUGHT OF THAT TOO. It’s literally like wearing jewelry on your feet! Btw, the crystal necklace I’m wearing in these photos is also from Corovana and I’ve literally worn it every day since I got it!
5. New sunnies: One of my go-to accessories is sunglasses and it’s always fun to pack a new pair! I’ll definitely bring a few with me- see this post for a full sunglasses round-up.
6. Waterproof bracelets: These are a little more pricey but they’re unbelievable! I wear budhagirl bangles at least 3 times a week as it is because they are so lightweight. But the fact that they be worn in the ocean and pool because they are completely waterproof, means that I’m definitely bringing a few colors with me!
7. Self-tanner: I always bring self-tanner with me so I can reapply throughout the trip! For packing, I put it in a big ziploc bag to prevent the sand from getting all over my things. I recently ordered St. Tropez since I found it on sale and I have to admit I’m loving it! I’m bringing this travel set with me!
8. Thula tula beach and pool blanket: I’m actually wrapped up with this blanket as I type this. It’s made for both indoor and outdoor use and it’s super lightweight! Perfect for the beach or pool. I wanted to mention this because this is one of my favorite brands to purchase from because all of their pieces are Sustainably and ethically crafted in South Africa, with a mission to create well-paid jobs in Southern Africa!
9. hair oil: This hair oil is a must in my haircare routine but I especially love it for the beach. I’ll put some of this oil on my ends before we go to the beach / pool so my hair doesn’t get too dry from the ocean or sun! I use the light version and it never weighs my hair down!
10. hair mask: Defintiley bringing all the Olaplex with me!! I’ve been using their new No. 8 hair mask for a little over a month now and I am beyond impressed by the results. It literally makes my hair feel like SILK and it doesn’t leave any residue at all.
