We should talk about this because I actually have no idea what I’m wearing on Thanksgiving! It’s Ava’s first Thanksgiving so you know I’ll be taking family pictures like it’s my JOB. So I’ll be sharing a few Thanksgiving Day options over the next few days because it’s always helpful when we talk it out!
I have two outfits for you today! I styled both looks with sweaters from yesterday’s try-on, and they are both on sale!
Look 1.
Colorblocked Sweater (35% off with code THANKFUL35) | Crop Jeans | Heels | Similar Sunglasses
There is NO chance that I am rocking a front-tuck for Thanksgiving. NO CHANCE. (Nor am I wearing a cropped sweater!) The length and the elastic waist of this sweater make this a great pick for Thanksgiving because you don’t have to tuck it in! In terms of the colors, you really can’t beat it. The combination of cream, faded rust, and burgundy colorblocks so well.
Have you tried the crop flare jean trend yet? This style is great because it gives you flattering feel of flare denim, but allows you to show off your new shoes 😉 Pair your new cropped flares with booties or heels for extra height. The perfect length is right above your ankle so alter if you need to! You can get the pair I am wearing HERE, and I’ll add a few other jeans in this style:
Look 2.
Poncho Sweater (35% off with code THANKFUL35) | Jeans | Boots | Earrings | Similar Hat
This sweater is basically a blanket and I love it! While a poncho is probably the most timeless and comfiest look for Thanksgiving, you have to style it right or else it can swallow you. Over-the-knee boots are your answer! An over-the-knee boot with a bit of heel will do wonders for your legs (and height!) by creating one clean long line.
I chose this poncho because I loved the striped detailing. The material + fit on this one is so snuggly and perfect for second helpings of stuffing 🙂 Here’s a few other’s that caught my eye:
If nothing else, I hope I have convinced you to try a pair of crop flares or over-the-knee boots.
All my love,
Alex
