Unless you live under a rock, you are probably aware that Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is around the corner! Today I am telling you everything you need to know about the sale and sharing a sneak peek of some of the best items that will be available, so you can plan accordingly! 🙂 Okay, let’s get started!
Dates you need to know
- Friday July 12: Early access begins at 12:30 PM ET for all Nordstrom Cardholders
- Thursday July 18: Last day of early access
- Friday July 19: First day of public access, where everyone can shop
- Sunday August 4, 2019: Last day of the sale. prices go back up on August 5th
The Strategy
I have shopped this sale for years, guys! While I love it more than anything, it can be a little stressful due to the fact that items sell out so quickly! Let me tell you the do’s and dont’s from my experience:
- Shop early access if you can. Nordstrom has shared that there will not be a restock of the majority of the items that go on sale. So here’s the truth about Early Access: if you’re excited about the sale and don’t want to miss out on items due to things selling out, get the card. The first year I ever shopped the sale I didn’t have the card and by the time I went to purchase the items I wanted during public access, almost all of the items that were waiting for me in my cart had sold out! You can apply for the card HERE.
- Invest in things that never go on sale. A lot of the items that are included are staple pieces and things that never go on sale: Clare V. & Tory Burch handbags, Sam Edelman boots, designer denim, Patagonia & Northface jackets, Dolce Vita shoes, etc. There are also lots of beauty sets that will be on sale that are exclusive to Nordstrom with brands such as Charlotte Tillbury makeup (YES!), Oribe & Living Proof hair products, Neulash eye serum, makeup brush sets, MAC lip kits, etc. Invest in key items like these that you won’t be able to get deals on later!
- Use your double points day. Do not forget to schedule a Double Points day during the day you are going to be doing the most shopping! You can click to do that online when you check out!
- Let’s talk about sizing. I will have a blog post up and try-ons on Instagram for you! My goal is to give you sizing and fit information, so you can confidently shop online!! That being said, if you are unsure about sizing: Buy now, return later. Last year there was a pair of boots I wanted so badly but I was unsure of what size to buy so I ordered two sizes: my regular size and one size up. I am so glad that I did because by the time the boots arrived all sizes had completely sold out and I ended up needing the size up! Nordstrom has free shipping and returns on all orders, so you can easily send it back or return it in-store.
- Get Excited! This sale is so much fun, you guys! It’s like Black Friday except in the middle of the summer! Lol! I have been able to see a few things ahead of time and everything is SO GOOD.
